The Age of Dissonace

Sorry for the overdue post fans..but Gossip Girl FINALLY decided to launch a new episode! With spring break being last week I am a little behind on everything. This episode aired on March 16th. For all of those who missed it, here is the recap!

The senior class is putting on their senior play: The Age of Innocence. Blair is playing the lead Countess Olenska opposite Dan. Serena is playing May, she has a crush on their play director, Julian.
Nelli got in early to Yale. Yale only gives one early acceptance to one student, Blair is worried she lost her spot. Rachel is back teaching at school, and all the other teachers are giving her dirty looks.

Chuck goes out to lunch and sees crazy, Constance alum, Carter Basin out to lunch with Elle. She says he must be mistaken and that her name is Haley. Elle/Haley exits the restaurant through the kitchen, followed by Carter, who is followed by Mr. Campbell, one of Bart Bass's friends.

Dan has Jenny deliver a note to Rachel saying he needs to see her alone, she places a key into the note as a reply.

Blair goes to the see headmistresses about Yale, and her acceptance has been revoked.

Jenny drops the note between Dan and Rachel on accident. Rufus picks it up and reads it and takes the key.

Blair confronts Nelli, Nelli tells her she did not rat her out to Yale. Gossip Girl sent out a message exposing one of Blair's past scandals; someone is out to get her. Blair thinks Vanessa is out to get her. Vanessa is currently making a documentary about the play. Serena takes Vanessa's side.

Elle needs help from Chuck, she wants to leave the country and get a new identity. They start kissing and he suggests Brazil.

Vanessa, Serena and Nate grab dinner with Julian. Vanessa and Julian have everything in common, it is obvious Nate senses it. She thinks he is self-absorbed. Serena wants private acting lessons, and gives him her address.

Rufus goes to Rachel's apartment, where she has candles lit, in place of Dan and returns her key. Rufus tells Dan that he and Miss Carr are over. He tells him that he likes her and he will decide who he sees.

Serena has acting lessons with Julian, she is not interested in what he is interested in at all. She has an ear piece in with Vanessa on the other end feeding her lines. Nate overhears and thinks that she is talking to Julian. Gossip Girl sent out another text saying that Serena got into Yale and that her only pre-requisite was a press release, someone is out to get her as well.
Chuck and Elle meet with Carter who has the hook-up for her new passport. Elle gets in the limo with Carter who is part of the mysterious gentleman's club she is trying to get away with, big mistake.

(From here on, all this is happening while the play is being performed on stage.)
Serena blames Blair for the Gossip Girl post which she said she did not do. Dan is the only other person that knew her secret.

Dan and Rachel have sex in the costume closet.

Chuck meets with Mr. Campbell to ask him about the club, he says he has no idea what he is talking about and that he can't say anything.

All of the students on stage are distracted by what is going on and are messing up the play. Each student voices their frustrations on stage. The audience thought it was planned and great. Julian tells Serena he is gay.

Chuck goes to see Elle, she signed an agreement and got money. He asks her about Brazil and she said she made a plan for herself, she used him. She said he had a good heart and that he needed to give it so someone who cares.

Rachel was the one sending the Gossip Girl posts, Dan wants nothing to do with her.

Blair is realizing that she has been a horrible person, and says getting kicked out of Yale was the karma she deserves.

Rachel leaves Dan a note saying she is moving back to Iowa.
Chuck goes to Blair's apartment to wait for her, in hopes of getting her back. In the meantime Carter buys Blair a drink.

Next Week's Prediction: I think Blair and Carter are going to get together. I think Chuck is going to confess his love to her, hopefully she accepts it. I think there is going to be more drama with the gentleman's club fiasco, I'm just not sure what about.
