Southern Gentleman Prefer Blondes

Sorry for all you Gossip Girl fans, but as this semester comes to a close...so does my blog. It has been nice filling you in with all the GG gossip and re-caps! Here is the last re-cap for the episode that aired on April 27th.

Nate is showing Blair around the NYU area, even how to ride the subway;she is turning up her nose. Rufus is going to get 3 times what he paid for his gallery. Dan sees Rufus looking at a ring. Serena said her and Gabriel are "no strings attached." She says he so busy with his business that he is always on the run. Blair wants to follow him. Nate tells Chuck he thinks next year is going to be harder than he thought with Blair. Gabriel, Serena, Rufus and Lily are all hanging out, Gabriel of course has to leave. Blair decides to follow him. She sees him with Poppy.

Gabriel tells Serena he was with Poppy. He tells her they are not sleeping together and that he is only talking to her because she has all the contacts for his business. He says in a week he will tell her once the contracts are signed. Serena tells Blair that she met Gabriel a year ago, on a night when she was drugged by Georgia (an awful friend from the past.) Rufus tells Vanessa that it might be months before he finds a buyer for the gallery. Rufus is thinking about selling all of his music ties. Nate and Chuck are looking at flats, he wants a place half way to be closer to Blair. Nate is worried Chuck is going to try to get back with Blair. He says he doesn't want him to go near her again, right when he does that, Blair calls him. She is calling him to take down Gabriel.

Blair takes Gabriel and Serena into her room, Chuck brings in Poppy. Poppy tells Gabriel to leave with him, she says if not she is going to call all of the investors to pull out. He chooses Serena. Vanessa tells Dan she slept with Chuck, twice. She also tells him about the Rufus drama. Gabriel tells Serena he'll have to go back and work with his father. She tells him that she can help him find new investors. Nate asks Blair to move in with him in his new place. Chuck tells them that Gabriel said he met Serena the night before the SAT's at Butter. They think he is lying. Nate wants her to see the apartment, he asks her to choose between Chuck and the Serena situation or him. She chooses her friend.

Gabriel is networking at Serena's moms party. Lily is in with Gabriel's investment. Blair and Chuck tell Serena about Butter and she tells them that Georgina knows the manager so that's why they were there when Blair rented Butter's bartender. Rufus tells Gabriel that he wants to invest, he tries to turn him down, and Rufus assures him he wants in. Blair tells Nate that she has to see the apartment tomorrow because they need to do something, he tells her to go with Chuck and that he trusts her. Chuck and Blair are off to see Georgina in Connecticut.

Chuck and Blair wake up in Chuck's limo holding hands. Chuck tells her that he needs to go in alone, because Georgina and Blair are enemies. Chuck didn't even need her, he just wanted to get her away from Nate. She says she is here for Serena, not him. Serena is starting to think that Gabriel is lying because he is having trouble recalling the night they met. Georgina is at camp, and she is "saved." She tells him that Gabriel and Serena were never at Butter. Poppy reunites with Gabriel with a kiss and tells him he had a great "performance" last night. Serena knows he is lying. Blair stole Chuck's limo and left him at the church camp.

Poppy and Gabriel are talking about their new investments. Gabriel yells at Poppy for her research about Butter. They hear a knock at the door and Poppy tells him they need to run, it wasn't Serena, it was Rufus delivering his investment check. Blair goes to see Nate in their new apartment, she thinks he doesn't trust her. Serena goes to the apartment to find it cleaned out and calls Chuck to tell him they are gone, while she is there Poppy comes in and is panicked because Gabriel is gone and she lent him half a million dollars. Jenny and Dan pulled together their savings and bought Rufus the ring he was looking at for Lily. Chuck decides to return to the city in a cab, with Georgina.

Next week's Prediction: I think that Poppy is putting on an act, her and Gabriel are in on this together and he didn't steal her half a million dollars. Georgina is going to go to the city and become "unsaved" when she reunites with her past. Rufus is going to loose all his money and Dan will not be able to go to Yale, but he is going to propose to Lily. Chuck and Blair are going to get back together sooner or later.

Serena and Dan in real life

Chuck and Vanessa aren't the only ones hooking up off stage....Serena and Dan are too. They are the cutest couple on screen that they started to take it off screen. I was so happy when I found out they were a real life couple. Like Vanessa and Chuck on the show Dan and Serena come from different sides of the tracks. Dan is lower-middle class family from Brooklyn. Serena is a very wealthy girl from the upper-east side. This on-screen love tension makes their real relationship even hotter.

Unlike Chuck and Vanessa, they aren't just kissing, they are full on dating. They are so into each other that they even go on vacation together. They shared a romantic getaway in Mexico's Mayan Rivera. That was last May.

They are still going strong almost a year later. They are so adorable. This is one couple on Gossip Girl where the love scenes won't be awkward because they are actually dating. I just hope Dan and Serena's on-screen drama doesn't effect their real world love life.

Chuck and Vanessa in real life

As you all know from reading my blog, it is true that Vanessa and Chuck have hooked up on the show. Could they also be hooking up in the real world as well? For all you viewers out there who loved their scandalous hook up, your dreams have come true! They are getting steaming on AND off set. Not only can we watch Gossip Girl on Monday nights, we can watch it all the time.

They were seen kissing on February 2nd at the Knicks game.

In December they were seen cuddling in a Texas airport.

They were seen kissing during a break from filming Gossip Girl. Not only did they kiss, but it must have been a mini make out session because they were also seen wiping saliva off of their faces. It must have been a juicy kiss! Along with kissing they also enjoy walking Vanessa's dog.

I hope that this little smooch fest turns into a full blown relationship it would be so cute. In the show they come from different tracks and it would make this real life Romeo and Juliet story so much better.

"The Captain"

I mentioned Nate's father, Harold Archibald in the previous post. He is referred to as "The Captain." Not everyone has been a Gossip Girl fan as long as I have, so some people don't know old Howie like I do. I figured since I mentioned him, I might as well give some background information on him.

1. He got his nickname "The Captain" because he was a former Navy captain. After is time in the Navy he became a wealthy banker.

2. He emptied Nate's trust fund, when Nate was in desperate need of the cash.

3. Nate got the money back, but when looking for answers he found a bag of cocaine in Howard's desk.

4. He gets caught with the cocaine by his wife. He blames it on Nate, and he is forced to take the fall for his father's actions.
5. He lied to his son and told him he only did cocaine once.

6. He was caught buying cocaine by Nate.

7. He punches Nate in the face while he was high when Nate confronts him.

8. He was arrested for the punch and in addition to the drug-related charges, he is being accused of embezzlement.
9. He goes to rehab for his full-blown cocaine addiction.

10. He buys a passport and skips town to avoid his fraud charges.

11. He moves to the Dominican Republic, leaving his family behind with his mess.

13. He is followed by the FBI, who knows he is in town.

14. He turns himself in to the police to serve his time.

Now we all see why Nate's father is sadly not in the picture anymore. Basically he ruined the entire family's relationship. He came around at the end and was honest and turned himself in.

Sedar Anything

yayyyy!! Finally a new episode..I hope it tops the last episode

Blair is having nightmares about losing her hope to go to Yale. She plans to be a socilite. The Waldorf family is getting ready for the Sedar, but Blair has plans with Nate. Cirus (Blair's stepfather) says he can get her in at NYU and she refuses because it is not Ivy League. Serena is back from Spain, she says she behaved herself. Chuck tells her he saw Poppy (who Serena went to Spain with) at a bar last week, which means she wasn't with Serena. Nate tells Blair he got into Columbia, he is debating between Columbia and Yale. Jenny has a crush on her science partner. She wants to get Dan a job with her crush's mother at a catering company. Nate's grandfather wants Blair to persuade Nate into going to Yale, he tells her he can get her on the social committee she got declined from. She agrees and bribes him with being a bridesmaid as well. Serena calls Cirus and tells him she thinks she needs a Lawyer.

Lily tells Serena she is grounded. Dan has his first day on the job, at the Waldorf house, he is nervous because his dad doesn't know. Nate wants to go to Columbia after having lunch with his cousin Trip. Nate tells Blair he wants nothing to do with his grandfather after the wedding. Serena got married in Spain, she needs Cirus to get her out of it. Dan overheard the conversation. Uh-oh.

Poppy and her boyfriend Gabriel got in a huge fight, broke up, and Poppy left Spain. Serena stayed to keep him company. Serena was really drunk and doesn't really if she is married. Dan is insulted/jealous. Lily and Rufus go to the sedar, there is a big art dealer there, Lily set it up. She wants to help Rufus out. Trip tells Blair that Nate is so happy to be back with her. Nate announces in his best man speech that he found out that his grandfather was the one had his father investigated. Gabriel comes to the sedar.

Gabriel tells Serena that she left him, not a note or anything. She tells Gabriel that Dan is her boyfriend. Gabriel was invited to the sedar and accepts. Nates grandfather tells Blair she has five minutes to fix this mess. Chuck is being a sex crazed maniac, and realize he had already slept with her a year ago. Jenny tells him off, and he is starting to realize how he is. Nates grandfather tells him that he only turned his father in after he confronted him and told him to stop. He also decides to tell Nate about he and Blair's deal.

Dan's father finds out that he got a job as a cater waiter to help make money for college. The beans are spilled that Serena and Dan aren't together. Nate confronts Blair about her actions, he tells her that he lost her trust and that she hasn't changed. Serena's mom tells her that she got into Brown. Gabriel leaves the dinner and Serena follows to talk. She tells him she isn't ready to be married, he tells her that they aren't officially married. He asks to be her boyfriend and they kiss, Blair comes crying to Serena.

Nate comes to Chuck. He assures her that Blair has in fact changed, she just needs someone to believe in her. Dan's father sold a painting, and is considering selling his art gallery. He tells Dan he isn't in love with selling art anymore. Chuck apologizes to Jenny about how he tried to attack her last year at a party. Blair tells Cirus she is sorry for missing his sedar, and asks him for help in getting into NYU. Nate comes to see Blair, they kiss and make up. Serena calls Gabriel and tells him she is glad he came back for her. Gabriel is with Poppy.

Next week's prediction: I think Nate and Blair are going to stay in love, and she is going to get into NYU and her and Nate are going to be together in the city. Serena and Gabriel have a bigger story to tell about Spain. Chuck is going to clean his act up.

Remains of the J

Yayyy!! Sorry I've been a little busy working on my research for my english class..this is why the blog is a little late. But yayy!!! There was a new episode of Gossip Girl that aired last Monday, March 30th. Sadly there will not be another new episode until April 20th :(. Anyway, here's the re-cap! I decided a new way to blog...I am going to make new paragraphs between each commercial rather than each scene.

Blair is avoiding Serena, she tells her she is at home when she is really across the street from Serena. Dan received his first fan letter. Vanessa is worried she lost Nate, it has been over a week since he has called. He finally sent her an e-mail letting her know he wants to see her. Serena meets up with Poppy, one of her A-list friends. Serena is going to throw Jenny a sweet 16 party, she invites Poppy. Lily makes breakfast for everyone where Serena and Lily tell Jenny they are going to throw her a party. Rufus finds the packet from Yale and Dan was denied because he could not get financial aid. Jenny is hesitant about having a party because she feels like she doesn't really have any friends and would rather just have a small family get together. Serena goes to school and finds out that Penelope is having a party the same day as Serena. Serena wants to keep Jennys party huge to out do Penelopes, she calls Poppy to help. Vanessa goes to meet Nate and sees him with Blair. Chuck cracked his account and sent the e-mail.

Chuck confronts Blair about Nate and she tells him they are just friends. Chuck tells her that her and Nate never had a spark and that he is still dating Vanessa. Dan asks Rufus about his Yale packet and Rufus lies and tells him that he left it at Lily's. She offers Rufus help, he refuses. She then tells him to sell the loft and move in with her. Blair wants Nate to break up with Vanessa so he and her can be together. Nate is going to dinner with Vanessa to break things off. Serena and Poppy take Jenny to Missoni to find the perfect sweet 16 dress. Serena decides to make some phone calls to make Jenny's party huge. Nate and Vanessa meet, he breaks it off with her, she left him first. She wants to try to work things out and Nate doesn't want to and tells her there wasn't anyone else. Nate goes to Blair's house and he tells her they are over and that it was because of no one else. Nate kisses Blair on the forehead and he goes home. Vanessa goes to Chuck's house and is mad that Nate said there was nothing going on between him and Blair.

Jenny is getting board games together to bring to her party. A realtor calls to speak to Rufus, Dan answers the phone and is confused. Blair thinks Nate is her destiny. Dan tells Jenny about the realtor, Jenny doesn't want to live on the upper-east side. Jenny walks into her huge party. Penelope cancelled her party and now everyone is at Jenny's party. She is not very happy about her party, she tells Serena she didn't want this. Serena's brother Eric tells Jenny she thinks Serena did it to let people know she can still throw a good party, so Jenny decides to tell everyone in a mass Gossip Girl text. Chuck is hitting on Vanessa on the way to Jenny's party, she turns him down. They walk in to see Blair and Nate flirting, they decide to kiss to make Blair and Nate jealous.

The party is now full of out-of-control teenagers, now Jenny and Serena are both upset with each other. Nate confronts Vanessa about to Chuck and warns him. She tells her that Blair and him are just friends, Blair confirms it. Blair locks Nate in a room with her, she wants to find out if there is any spark left. She tries to hook-up with him and he refuses, she is upset. Nate tells Vanessa is starting to act like Blair.

There are now kids everywhere outside the building trying to get in to the party. There are so many kids the cops were called, at the same time Rufus and Lily came home. Serena tells Lily that this is not her mess. Jenny admits that it was her fault. Jenny says that she does not want to be a park-avenue princess and basically that she does not want to move in with Lily. Serena goes out with Poppy and Poppy tells her that she needs to get away, she suggest a private jet to Spain; tomorrow morning. Serena tells her she might be "grounded" but decides to go Spain anyway.

Rufus and Lily decide it is too soon to move in together. Dan overhears the conversation between Rufus and Lily about Yale. Dan now knows that the reason they were going to move in with Lily was because of the money issue, Rufus assures him they will figure out a way. Blair tells Deroda that she misses her friend Nate. They see Nate while they are walking in the park, Deroda tells Blair that Nate called and asked where her favorite spot was to have their first kiss. He tells her he wants to be with her, just not how they were at the party. They kiss. Serena goes to meet Poppy and her boyfriend Gabriel, he realizes he has met her before and that she was calling herself "Savannah." Dan calls his fan, Scott and his parents answer because they see the Brooklyn call. Dan tells them who he is and they say they will pass the message along. The parents who answer are they parents who adopted Lily and Rufus's son! They think that Scott knows. Lily is shocked to find out Serena is going to Spain. Chuck wakes up with Vanessa. She wants to pretend last night didn't happen.
Next week's Prediction:

I think Chuck and Vanessa and Nate and Blair are going to start dating. I am still pulling for Chuck and Blair and I think they are eventually going to get back together. Once they do I think Nate and Vanessa are going to get back together. I think Serena might have hooked up with Gabriel before or they have some wild past together. Scott and Dan are going to somehow meet up and realize they are a lot alike and soon find out they are related.

The Grandfather

Gossip Girl is impressing me!...TWO NEW EPISODES IN A ROW! You know how it goes, here is the re-cap on what happened this week!

Nate's cousin Trip is in town and is trying to get Nate to make an apperance at the family party. (For all of you who don't know, Nate's father got into drug and money trouble in the past. Nate and his mother do not associate with anyone in his family, espescially not his grandfather.)

Lilly just found out that her art dealer used to date Rufus, and he never said anything to her. They decide to make lists of everyone they have ever dated.

Nate decides to go to the family history celebration. Trip tells Nate that his grandfather did not know he was coming, which is what Trip had originally said. He is very delighted to see Nate.

Chuck goes to see Blair who has been having a private party with Carter. Serena and Blair go shopping where Blair shoplifts, she is acting out for not getting into Yale. Serena calls Chuck for help.

Trip's fiance tells Vanessa that she thinks Nate is going to be a politician and that she can already picture the campaign posters. She says "Welcome to the next 30 years" to Vanessa.

Chuck meets with Carter. Serena gives Carter a plane ticket to go out of town, he declines. She decides to blackmail him with some unknown information involving the two of them in Santorini and the Greek police.

Rufus gives Lilly his date list, it is very short. She decides to give him only one page of many.

Serena and Chuck go to find Blair, they can't find her. They thought went to the gentelman's club party alone. They find her and she is meeting with a representative from Sarah Lawrence, where she is told it will never happen.

Serena and Chuck decide to follow Blair who decides to crash Nate's family gathering filled with the elite. She is making a fool out of herself and bashing everyone in public.

Rufus finds the rest of Lilly's date list.

Trip tells Vanessa that Nate has an internship at the Mayor's office this summer, not their backpacking trip they had planned. Vanessa is hurt that Nate is letting his grandfather make his decisions for him.

Chuck tells Blair this is not the real her, and that he knows her better. They start kissing, she wants to hook-up with him. He refuses, he said "this isn't you, it's not the Blair I want." She agrees and tells him she will never be the old Blair.

Nate goes outside only to find Blair. She is remeniscing about their past, she tells Nate how she wonders how everything got so screwed up. She feels lost and doesnt know who she is anymore.

Serena slaps Dan for sleeping with Rachel.

Rufus confronts Lilly about her lying. She feels like he is ashamed of her and her past. Rufus walks out on her.

Nate accepts the internship at the Mayor's office and ditches his plans with Vanessa. She does not know if they are broken up or not.

Chuck tells Serena he is losing her. She tells him to fight for her like she fought for Chuck in the past.
Rufus apologizes and he and Lilly make up.
Chuck goes to Blair's house to see her. Nate is there, shes ask him to stay.
Next Week's Prediction: I think Blair is going to try to hook up with Nate, but I think he is going to turn her down. He is going to realize how much he likes Vanessa and decline the internship at the Mayor's office. Chuck is finally going to win Blair over.

The Age of Dissonace

Sorry for the overdue post fans..but Gossip Girl FINALLY decided to launch a new episode! With spring break being last week I am a little behind on everything. This episode aired on March 16th. For all of those who missed it, here is the recap!

The senior class is putting on their senior play: The Age of Innocence. Blair is playing the lead Countess Olenska opposite Dan. Serena is playing May, she has a crush on their play director, Julian.
Nelli got in early to Yale. Yale only gives one early acceptance to one student, Blair is worried she lost her spot. Rachel is back teaching at school, and all the other teachers are giving her dirty looks.

Chuck goes out to lunch and sees crazy, Constance alum, Carter Basin out to lunch with Elle. She says he must be mistaken and that her name is Haley. Elle/Haley exits the restaurant through the kitchen, followed by Carter, who is followed by Mr. Campbell, one of Bart Bass's friends.

Dan has Jenny deliver a note to Rachel saying he needs to see her alone, she places a key into the note as a reply.

Blair goes to the see headmistresses about Yale, and her acceptance has been revoked.

Jenny drops the note between Dan and Rachel on accident. Rufus picks it up and reads it and takes the key.

Blair confronts Nelli, Nelli tells her she did not rat her out to Yale. Gossip Girl sent out a message exposing one of Blair's past scandals; someone is out to get her. Blair thinks Vanessa is out to get her. Vanessa is currently making a documentary about the play. Serena takes Vanessa's side.

Elle needs help from Chuck, she wants to leave the country and get a new identity. They start kissing and he suggests Brazil.

Vanessa, Serena and Nate grab dinner with Julian. Vanessa and Julian have everything in common, it is obvious Nate senses it. She thinks he is self-absorbed. Serena wants private acting lessons, and gives him her address.

Rufus goes to Rachel's apartment, where she has candles lit, in place of Dan and returns her key. Rufus tells Dan that he and Miss Carr are over. He tells him that he likes her and he will decide who he sees.

Serena has acting lessons with Julian, she is not interested in what he is interested in at all. She has an ear piece in with Vanessa on the other end feeding her lines. Nate overhears and thinks that she is talking to Julian. Gossip Girl sent out another text saying that Serena got into Yale and that her only pre-requisite was a press release, someone is out to get her as well.
Chuck and Elle meet with Carter who has the hook-up for her new passport. Elle gets in the limo with Carter who is part of the mysterious gentleman's club she is trying to get away with, big mistake.

(From here on, all this is happening while the play is being performed on stage.)
Serena blames Blair for the Gossip Girl post which she said she did not do. Dan is the only other person that knew her secret.

Dan and Rachel have sex in the costume closet.

Chuck meets with Mr. Campbell to ask him about the club, he says he has no idea what he is talking about and that he can't say anything.

All of the students on stage are distracted by what is going on and are messing up the play. Each student voices their frustrations on stage. The audience thought it was planned and great. Julian tells Serena he is gay.

Chuck goes to see Elle, she signed an agreement and got money. He asks her about Brazil and she said she made a plan for herself, she used him. She said he had a good heart and that he needed to give it so someone who cares.

Rachel was the one sending the Gossip Girl posts, Dan wants nothing to do with her.

Blair is realizing that she has been a horrible person, and says getting kicked out of Yale was the karma she deserves.

Rachel leaves Dan a note saying she is moving back to Iowa.
Chuck goes to Blair's apartment to wait for her, in hopes of getting her back. In the meantime Carter buys Blair a drink.

Next Week's Prediction: I think Blair and Carter are going to get together. I think Chuck is going to confess his love to her, hopefully she accepts it. I think there is going to be more drama with the gentleman's club fiasco, I'm just not sure what about.

Seriously Though????

Once again, I turned on the t.v. at 8pm on Monday and saw something horrific, ANOTHER repeat. Seriously though???? This is getting really old. Each week my friends and I gather around to watch our favorite show, and for the last three weeks we have had to cut our gatherings short because of our upset.

I am thinking of random Gossip Girl topics to write about and this week I am going to discuss Dan and Serena and Rufus and Lilly's love square. For all of you that don't know, Rufus is Dan's father and Lilly is Serena's mother.

Dan and Serena started dating in high school they became very serious and loved each other deeply. Lilly was single and Rufus's wife left him, with Dan and Serena dating their parents were going to be around each other eventually. There was obvious tension between the two and we find out that they had a past together, a huge past.

Back in the day Rufus and Lilly were dating and in love. Rufus was a struggling musician and did not make a lot of money, Cece, Lilly's mother basically trapped Rufus and gave him an ultimatum. She did not want the two to be together. Rufus ended things with Lilly. They both went on with their lives and created new lives.

Serena and Dan broke up for various reasons during the first season, some of which could have been their parents relationship. Lilly was seeing Rufus and Bart Bass and the same time. She figured things with Rufus would never work out but she loved him deep down. She choose Bart in the end, and married him.

Serena and Dan got back together during the second season. Bart passed, and Lilly began seeing Rufus again, they were in love AGAIN. During this "make-up" a big secret surfaces. Lilly had once been pregnant with Rufus's child, but her mother made her give it up for adoption. Rufus had no idea she was pregnant. This made Dan and Serena's relationship even more awkward...they shared a sibling. They ended up breaking up again. Rufus and Lilly are still together.

It's a never ending family affair!

ANOTHER repeat, this is getting old...

I hate repeats. I look forward to Mondays, because that means Gossip Girl is going to be on. The past two weeks in a row I have been tricked. I turn on the t.v. at 8pm and awaiting a new episode when a horrifying repeat comes on. It makes me sick.

Anyhow, since I sadly can't blog about what new happened in this weeks episode I am going to do a little re-cap of the main events that happened in first season of Gossip Girl.

-Serena returns from boarding school

-Blair is mad she is back because Serena had sex with Nate before she left (who Blair is dating)

-Serena and Blair are at war, but they eventually make up

-Blair is dating Nate most of the time, but they eventually break up

-Serena and Dan start dating and fall in love

-Nate's father got into trouble for embezzlement and fraud and develops a coke problem and the Archibald's lost all their money

-Dan's childhood friend, Vanessa returns and confesses her love for Dan, he rejects it and is stays with Serena

-Vanessa and Nate have a fling

-Rufus and Lily have obvious feelings for each other, but Lily dates Bart Bass and eventually marries him

-Blair looses her virginity to Chuck, Nate's best friend, and Nate does not want to be friends with Chuck anymore, Blair is very upset about Nate and wants him back

-Serena's old sidekick, Georgina resurfaces and starts drama, she threatens to reveal a deep dark secret about Serena ( it was that they were doing coke with a guy at a hotel and he died and they left the scene, Serena felt like she was at fault, that is why she never told anyone, she had no control over his death) Serena acts weird around Dan because she doesn't want to tell him the awful truth so she lies and tells him that she slept with someone else, they break up, and Georgina tries to get with Dan.

My Character Pet Peeves

Hello there Gossip Girl fans! Sorry my post for this week was a little late, but the episode of Gossip Girl airing on February 9th was a repeat!

Back in the day, before Gossip Girl was on TV, I read the Gossip Girl book series. The books were my first true love, but don't get me wrong I love the show too, I just love the books a little more. With the show being based off the books, you would think they would mimic each other, unfortunately they don't.

On the sad of occasion of this repeat, I am going to share with you my top three character differences between the books and the television show that piss me off.

1. In the books Jenny Humphrey is has to have brown, curly hair and enormous breasts. On the show Jenny has blond, straight hair and has very small breasts. The books mentions her giant breasts ALL THE TIME, and the show fails to recognize them. I don't think it would make the show any better, but it was weird to me how the Jenny from the book is now opposite from the Jenny on the t.v. show.

2. On the show Dan looks an average student at Constance without an addictive personality. The book portrays him as an anorexic-looking young man who chain smokes cigarettes and is addicted to coffee. Although Dan is very attractive on the show, I think the tension of Dan and Serena coming from "two different worlds" could have been emphasized if Dan was imitated from the Dan in the books.

3. In the books Vanessa is very punk and has a shaved head. On the show Vanessa has beautiful, curly, brown hair and acts like all the other characters, which is anything BUT punk. Vanessa hooks up with Nate, it would have caused much more of a scene if THE Nate Archibald was hooking up a with a bald-headed punk, rather than a normal girl who didn't go to college.

While reading these series I imagined it happening, scene by scene. Not only was I shocked about how these characters appeared, I was upset that visions in my head were the opposite of what I watched on t.v.

I think that if these three characters were portrayed on the show as they were in the book, the show would be better. I mean come on, the author, Cecily von Ziegesar, had reasoning behind how she originally pictured the characters. It would make the relationships, the tension, and the show more interesting and dramatic.

I'm sure for those of you who read before watching feel my pain. Thanks for letting me vent!

Carrnal Knowledge

Thank God! This week's episode of Gossip Girl was new and amazing!

In this episode, Nate Archibald and his beau Vanessa are featured. Nate is Chuck's best friend who used to date Blair. Vanessa is Dan's best friend. Jenny, Dan's little sister also makes an appearance.

This episode starts off with Blair (more like her maid, Deroda) serving her detention sentence.

Dan and Miss Carr are having coffee and conversation. Serena comes to meet Miss Carr (now referred to as Rachel) to turn in her essay who she is surprised to see with Dan.

Chuck wakes up and vaguely remembers a night of partying but notices he has a new tattoo. He finds a mysterious card with an address on it.

Blair is done with her sentence, seeks revenge. Her posse does not agree to help her. The headmistress announces that they are not allowed to have cell phones at school, the students are horrified. They decide that Miss Carr is behind the new policy, Blair's posse decides to join her in the her war.

Chuck meets with Nate and Vanessa and tells them about the letter he received with the date, address and time on it. They go to the address, which appears to be someones home, Chuck flashes back to the previous night and says he was with the most beautiful woman he has ever seen.

Blair and her friends try to find dirt on Miss Carr and find nothing, they decide to start a rumor about a love affair between Dan and Miss Carr. Serena confronts Dan, he assures her that it isn't true.

Chuck tells Nate and Vanessa that last night that home was the ultimate gentleman's club. There is a picture of the unknown beautiful woman (holding a baby) in the house. The house is for sale and Chuck finds out that the woman in the picture is the nanny. Chuck calls the owner of the house and he finds out that the nanny(Elle) was in Greenwich last night, not at the supposed party.

Miss Carr and the headmistress confront Blair about the Gossip Girl post. A member of Blair's posse, Nelli Yuki, snitched on Blair. Blair is going to be expelled. Blair is scared her Yale acceptance will be revoked and she could possibly be up for slander. Blair's father is going to help her fight this.

Serena goes to meet with Miss Carr to try to defend Blair, Miss Carr isn't letting up. Miss Carr left her planner and Serena goes to return it, at a restaurant, where she is with Dan. She takes a picture of them looking pretty flirty.

Chuck meets with Elle. She tells him that he was never supposed to get the invitation. She tells him that she was at the party, but she was there for his deceased father, not him. She drugged him and put him at a hotel to keep him "safe." She is scared that someone will find out that she let an outsider in to the private party. Bart was up to no good.

Serena shows Blair the picture and they rush to Constance to intrude the meeting. Serena texts Dan and tells him to come ASAP. The picture is blown up on the big screen. Serena confronts Dan AGAIN, and he told her he was just comforting her because she was crying. Miss Carr was fired and Blair is back in. Blair's father overhears her and finds out she was lying, he is very upset with her.

Dan and Serena decide to break things off.

Serena finally returns the datebook and tells Miss Carr she was the one who took the photo. Miss Carr tells her essay was great. Serena feels terrible, naturally.

Chuck goes through his father's things and finds a bunch of invitations like the rest. The owner of the home calls Chuck and tells her that Elle is missing.

Dan goes to Miss Carr's home to apologize. They end up making out and hooking up, because she is no longer a teacher.

The headmistress decides to let Miss Carr finish the semester.

My Prediction for this episode was right on point!

Next Week's Prediction: I think Dan and Miss Carr are going to hook up and with her rejoining Constance things are going to be awkward, and they might even get caught. I think Serena is going to realize she wants to get back together with Dan. I think Chuck is going to find out the whole story behind Elle and the party, and not like what his father was up to before he passed away.

You've Got Yale!

Bad news! Gossip Girl this week was a re-run, not a new episode! In that case I am going to blog about the previous episode; You've Got Yale! which aired on January 19th.

Before I do my episode review I am going to give you first time viewers out there a little re-cap of main characters that will be shown in this episode. Serena VanDerWoodsen and Blair Waldorf are rich, popular and best friends. Serena's boyfriend, Dan Humphrey is the opposite. Rufus, Dan's father, has a romantic history with Serena's mother, Lilly, which is being rekindled. Lilly was recently widowed by Bart Bass, Chuck Bass's father. In his father's passing Chuck's horrible uncle, Jack, got handed Bart's empire because Chuck is not 18.

*Each space between paragraphs means a change of scenery.

Today is the day the students at Constance find out weather or not they got into Yale.

Serena is worried that she is going to get into Yale and Blair won't. The whole reason why Serena picked Yale in the first place was to get back at Blair when they were fighting. Lilly invited Rufus to the opera tonight and he is concerned how people will act when they see her with another man considering Bart has been dead a month.

Chuck is doing all he can to get Jack in trouble, so he can take over.

Serena and Dan both got accepted into Yale. Blair got wait-listed. Serena decides to lie and say she was wait-listed in order to not hurt Blair.

Chuck pays a visit to Lilly, who is part of the company, to seek help on how to take Jack down.

The secretary from Yale calls Serena to confirm her acceptance and Serena says she will have to call her back.

Miss Carr is the new English teacher who looks extremely young. Blair is upset with her because she gave her a B on a paper. Blair needs to keep her GPA perfect to get into Yale. Serena tells Blair that she declined her acceptance and that since Blair is next in line, Blair is now accepted into Yale. Serena asks Blair to lay off Miss Carr and she agrees. Dan is upset Serena is not going to join him at Yale.

Blair decides to seek revenge anyway and invites Miss Carr to dinner and the opera with her family.

Serena decides that Brown is a better fit for her than Yale. Dan forgives her for declining Yale. They decide not to let their parents relationship get in between their own relationship.

Blair stood Miss Carr up. Right before the opera is about to start Blair gets a phone call from the Headmistress saying Miss Car had told her how upset she was about her grade and that Blair was to end the semester with an A. Blair rushes out of the opera.

Lilly informs Chuck that she is going to adopt him so now she will be his guardian. This leaves Jack with no control over the company.

Blair goes to meet Miss Carr to apologize and she accepts it. Miss Carr makes a phone call to the Headmistress.

Jack follows Lilly into the bathroom and tries to physically and sexually assault her and Chuck breaks in and saves the day.

Lilly lets Chuck know that when he turns 18 he gets all of the company. Chuck asks Lilly if he can move back in and she gladly accepts.

Dan ignores Serena's phone call. Miss Carr shows up at Dan's father's Gallery in Brooklyn.

Blair goes to meet with the Headmistress who lets Blair know that she has to serve detention and that her acceptance was put on hold. Blair declares war.

Next Week's Prediction: I predict Dan and Serena are going to break up mainly because of them going to different schools and their parent's relationship. I think there is going to be some chemistry between Dan and Miss Carr. I think Lilly and Rufus are going to stay in love. I think Chuck is going to get his life on track and count down the days until he turns 18. Lastly I think that Blair is going to do something horrible to Miss Carr that could cost her Yale.
